NOTICE OF COMMENT PERIOD
MATS PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN
Notice is hereby given that the public comment period has begun for the Public Participation Plan for the Macon Area Transportation Study . Comments will be received until the end of the working day on May 11, 2015.
Copies of the plan may also be obtained at the Middle Georgia Regional Commission (175-C Emery Highway, Macon, GA 31201), the Georgia Department of Transportation (4499 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31210), the Macon-Bibb Co. Planning & Zoning Commission (682 Cherry Street, Suite 1000, Macon, GA 31201) and the Washington Memorial Library (1180 Washington Ave., Macon, GA 31201). Any comments regarding the plan can be sent to: Macon-Bibb Co. Planning & Zoning, c/o MATS, Suite 1000, 682 Cherry St., Macon, GA 31201. A Resolution R15-014 of the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission to declare and impose a temporary moratorium on the acceptance, review, and processing of any and all applications for Rezoning, Zoning Compliance, Special Use Permit, Variance, and Special Exception for all properties within a geographical area defined by a boundary created by the Central of Georgia Railroad, Brookdale Avenue, Roff Avenue, and Gardner Street extended to the right of way of the Central of Georgia Railroad. This area is now or formerly known as Payne City and is depicted on a map dated March 24, 2015 titled Payne City Moratorium Area which is adopted as part of this resolution for 60 days.
